Volunteer Paper & Posters
We invite submission of abstracts for contributed oral and poster presentations.
Posters are intended to be equally valuable as contributed talks. Posters are displayed throughout the conference. Sessions devoted to poster presentations are planned as part of the conference.
The abstract submission deadline has been extended until March 20, 2015!
The presenting author (to be named at the end of the abstract submission form) is the point of contact. He or she will receive all abstract notifications from the conference organizers.

Evaluation and acceptance of abstracts
Please note, that abstracts may be submitted before all analyses and conclusions are in their final form, but authors must report some specific results. Clarity of language is important. Abstracts must use standard English and follow appropriate English syntax, grammar, and punctuation rules. If you are unsure if your contribution meets our guidelines, please ask firstname.lastname@example.org
Notification of acceptance until March 31, 2015.
Abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. An abstract should provide sufficient insight into your research. Please note that authors are responsible for their abstract.
Oral presentation guideline
Please prepare your presentation in MS Powerpoint (Version 2007 or higher) or in pdf format.
Bring your presentation on a USB stick to the registration (see conference website for details).
From the detailed session programme at the conference website you can see to which session your contribution has been assigned. You also find the ID of your contribution in detailed session programme.
Please name your MS Powerpoint (or pdf file) with ID and last name of presenter
Please, note that we have in total 20minutes per presentation, including introduction of the speaker and 1-2 short questions after the presentation. This means that you can allocate 17 minutes for your talk! Please stick to this time limit! Otherwise the session moderator will have to stop you to keep the session timeline.
Poster format & guideline
Poster format:use a serif font (e.g. Times) for the main text; is much easier to read!
use a sans-serif font (e.g. Arial) for titles and headings
Page size: A0, vertical (84.1 x 118.9cm)
title of poster: 96 pt, bold
author´s line: 54 pt, bold
address/affiliations of authors: 54 pt or smaller
headings: 60 pt, bold
text: minimum 32 pt, better 36pt (can be read from 2m distance)
Minimize the text, use images and graphs instead!
Keep text elements to 50 words or fewer!
Please bring your printed poster to the registration. Posters will
be collected at registration and the organizational team will fix the poster to the wall.
Your poster will remain fixed to the poster wall for the throughout conference!
From the session programme at the website you can get the allocation of your poster to
one of the sessions and the ID of your poster.
This will show you when you are scheduled to introduce your poster (2 minutes!) in one of the sessions.
For the short poster introduction in one of the sessions please prepare 2 slides
(MS Powerpoint 2007 or higher; also pdf format will work) with the main messages to advertise for your poster.
Bring the 2 slides on a USB stick to the registration.
Name the file for the 2 slides with (i) “poster”, (ii) your poster ID, (iii) and the last name of the presenter
Please be on site in your session. The session moderator will call you, your 2 slides will be on the screen, and you have 2 minutes to introduce your poster and motivate the audience to view it on the poster walls.
There will be a best poster award. All registered conference participants can cast ONE vote for their best poster choice (details will be available at the registration desk).
Special Issue for conference contributions
We are organizing the publication of conference contributions in Special Issues of "European Journal of Forest Research" and "Forestry Journal".
Oral and poster presentations from the conference qualify for the Special Issue process. Depending on the number of manuscripts another journal may be contacted.
Interested authors have to submit an extended abstract after the conference until 24 July, 2015 to email@example.com. The editorial team will decide on allocation to journals.
Full manuscripts must then be submitted until 31 October, 2015 at the latest.
